Pharrfär, city (1990 pop. 32,921), Hidalgo co., extreme S Tex.; inc. 1916. It is located in the irrigated region of the lower Rio Grande valley. Transportation equipment and concrete blocks are manufactured, and natural-gas wells are located in the city. Pharr's population increased significantly in the late 20th cent.

Pharr (redirected from Pharr) is a city in Hidalgo County, Texas, United States. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 46,660. Pharr is connected by bridge to the Mexican city of Reynosa, Tamaulipas. It is part of the McAllen–Edinburg–Mission Metropolitan Statistical Area.
