Leawood (redirected from Leawood) is a city in Johnson County, Kansas, United States and is part of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. The population was 27,656 at the 2000 census. Leawood is located at . According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 15.1 square miles, of which, 15.1 square miles of it is land and 0.07% is water. As of the census of 2000, there were 27,656 people, 9,841 households, and 8,118 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,833.4 people per square mile.
